October 16, 2015
Alissa Sizemore has been taking ballet lessons since the age of 4. Ballet means the world to her. But in May of 2014, Alissa was struck by a delivery truck while playing outside. The truck stopped directly on top of Alissa's right foot. Doctors later amputated her leg after trying unsuccessfully to save the foot.
This beautiful video is from Alissa's first competition since the accident with her new prosthetic leg.
