They Said They Were Twins Because They Shared the Same Soul. Now They're 13

June 15, 2026

Years ago, two preschool girls captured hearts around the world when they insisted they were twins, despite being born to different families and having different skin colors.

"We're twins because we share the same soul," one of them famously explained.

Now, Jia and Zuri are 13 years old, and their extraordinary friendship is still going strong. The inseparable best friends recently celebrated another birthday together, proving that the bond they formed as little girls was much more than a childhood phase.

Back when they first met in preschool, they genuinely believed they were twins. More than a decade later, they still consider each other sisters in every way that matters.
