High School Surprises 90-Year-Old Janitor With Heartwarming Birthday Assembly

A Massachusetts high school surprised its beloved 90-year-old janitor with a heartfelt birthday celebration after decades of dedicated service to the school community.

Bobby Collins, a 90-year-old veteran from Sturbridge, walked into the very auditorium he’s been cleaning for the past 50 years only to find it filled with students and staff there to honor him with cheers, gratitude, and a surprise birthday assembly.

Even at 90 years old, Bobby still shows up to work every day with remarkable energy, kindness, and pride in what he does. Over the years, he’s become far more than a janitor to the students. He’s become a familiar face, a role model, and an inspiration.

The emotional moment caught Bobby completely off guard, as the crowd celebrated not just his birthday, but the lasting impact he’s had on generations of students.

And despite reaching 90, Bobby says he has no plans to retire anytime soon. He simply wants to keep moving and doing the work he loves because, as he puts it, he still feels great.
