Video Shows Tortoise Make A Slow But Successful Escape From Burning Shed

A rescued tortoise managed to save himself from a fire.

According to reports, the fire started after a heat lamp — which had been set up to keep the tortoise warm — tipped over inside a shed. No one was home at the time, leaving the tortoise to fend for himself.

A backyard security camera recorded the great escape as the fire burned behind him.
