This Apology During A Volleyball Game Is The Best Apology You Will See Today
February 6, 2026
Sometimes an apology says everything — and sometimes it steals the whole show.
Japanese volleyball player Yuji Nishida is going viral after delivering what might be one of the most unforgettable apologies ever seen on a court.
The 26-year-old was taking part in a half-time serving challenge at a volleyball all-star event in Kobe when one of his serves veered off course and accidentally struck a female judge in the back. Nishida immediately looked horrified, clearly worried about what had just happened.
Fortunately, the judge wasn’t hurt—but what happened next had everyone laughing.
In a dramatic display of chivalry, Nishida dropped low and slid rapidly across the floor in an exaggerated traditional apology, nose down and hands at his sides, gliding toward the judge with remarkable speed and precision.
It was a lighthearted moment that reminded everyone watching that humility—and a good sense of humor—can turn even an awkward mishap into something memorable.
