January 26, 2026

A woman on social media who enjoys interviewing people in public noticed a diner eating alone at a restaurant—and couldn’t resist striking up a conversation.

That woman turned out to be Ella, a 104-year-old World War II veteran born on April 24, 1921. In the video, she shares a glimpse into her remarkable life, including how she joined the U.S. Navy at just 23 years old.

Ella loves to dance, collects teddy bears, and says her secret to staying young is simple: eating peanut butter.
