First Responders Use Olive Oil To Rescue Squirrel Trapped In Dumpster

A small squirrel in New York got an unexpected Christmas miracle after first responders came to her rescue in a truly creative way.

The animal's head had become stuck inside a dumpster and she was unable to free herself. To safely help her out, the rescue team used olive oil to gently loosen her from the tight space.

Because the squirrel was in poor condition after the ordeal, wildlife rehabilitator Dani Wood from All Creatures Great and Small Wildlife Rehabilitation was called in to provide the extra care she needed to recover.
