Meet Lars - The Reindeer Who Thinks He Belongs In The Living Room
December 16, 2025
He’s like Rudolph as a fawn — just without the red nose.
Lars may be a little confused about whether he’s a reindeer or a household pet. Although he lives on a reindeer farm in the UK, Lars has taken up residence inside the main house, where he happily plays with the family dog and acts more like a puppy than a future sleigh-puller.
His keeper says the mix-up isn’t his fault. When Lars was born, his mother wasn’t producing enough milk, so she was brought inside and bottle-fed, forming a close bond with the family. Now, he’s perfectly comfortable indoors — and convinced he belongs there.
Despite his cozy upbringing, his caretaker believes Lars has a bright future ahead. In fact, she says he’s already on track to lead Santa’s sleigh someday — once he figures out he’s a reindeer.
