Meet Inigo Montoya: The Rescue Rooster Who Loves Riding On Heads

After spending nearly two months wandering the streets of Portland, a charming little rooster is finally safe—thanks to the Animal Refuge League of Portland.

His name? Inigo Montoya.

Rescuers say this feathered adventurer instantly won everyone over with his gentle, affectionate personality. He loves people, adores attention, and has a hilarious habit of hopping up onto his caretakers’ shoulders and heads for a better view of the world. It didn’t take long for the entire staff to fall in love.

While roosters have a reputation of being aggressive, Inigo is proving every day just how sweet and social a rescue rooster can be:
