Bicyclists Come Face-To-Face With Mountain Lion In Terrifying Trail Encounter
November 6, 2025
A heart-pounding encounter was caught on camera in Orange County, California, this week when two bicyclists came face-to-face with a mountain lion during their evening ride through Whiting Ranch Wilderness Park.
The tense standoff unfolded as the big cat appeared on the trail, stalking the riders for several moments before making a final, frightening charge. Thankfully, the cyclists kept their composure and did everything right — standing their ground, making noise, and avoiding sudden movements until the lion finally backed off.
