Dramatic Video Shows Firefighters Rescue Cats From Burning Building
November 3, 2025
Two lucky cats are safe and back in their owners’ arms after firefighters with the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) pulled them from a burning apartment in Santa Ana last week.
According to OCFA, crews from Engine 28 arrived to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the apartment. Working quickly in low-visibility conditions, firefighters deployed hose lines to knock down the fire — and made sure to search not only for people, but also for pets.
Their efforts paid off when they discovered and safely rescued the family’s two cats. Thanks to the crew’s fast response, the blaze was contained before it could spread to neighboring units.
OCFA shared video footage of the dramatic rescue, showing just how dedicated these firefighters are to protecting every life in danger — human and animal alike.
