October 11, 2025
High school freshman Wesly Lowery has been friends with Nevaeh Hall since first grade — and he wanted to do something special to celebrate their lifelong bond.
So Wesly, a football player, decided to surprise Nevaeh by asking her to homecoming in the sweetest way.

Wesly said he wanted to make sure her first homecoming was a night to remember.
"This would be her first time at a Homecoming function and I just wanted to give her a night to remember," he said.
Nevaeh’s mom later shared a heart-melting follow-up video showing Wesly arriving to pick her up for homecoming — complete with flowers and a princess balloon.
