Cat Rides 100 Miles On Roof Of Family Van — Refuses to Miss The Family Road Trip

October 10, 2025

A family heading from their home in Pennsylvania to New Hampshire for a marathon — with plans to continue on to New York City — thought they had said their goodbyes to their pets.

But their cat, Ray Ray, had no intention of being left behind.

Unbeknownst to the family, Ray Ray had somehow climbed onto the roof of their van before they hit the highway. For more than 100 miles, he clung tightly as the vehicle sped down the interstate at nearly 70 mph.

It wasn’t until the family stopped for gas midway through the trip that they spotted a pair of familiar eyes peeking over the roof — Ray Ray had hitched a ride the entire way.

Shocked but relieved to find him safe, the family quickly changed plans. They made a stop at a pet store, bought supplies, and made sure Ray Ray could join the rest of their adventure in comfort.

Clearly, this determined feline wasn’t about to miss out on the family fun — or the marathon weekend memories.
