Firefighters Comfort Nervous Dogs After Car Crash On Florida Turnpike

July 26, 2025

Earlier this month, Gabriella Obregon’s car spun out of control and slammed into a highway barrier on the Florida Turnpike.

Inside the car with Gabriella were her two beloved dogs — Simba, a Golden Retriever, and Aslan, a Siberian Husky. Shaken and scared, the pups clung to their owner as the chaos settled.

Within minutes, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue arrived on the scene. But they didn’t just come with flashing lights and life-saving tools — they came with compassion.

Gabriella later posted a video to TikTok showing the first responders gently comforting her dogs and even carrying them to safety.

“My dogs were so nervous after we got into a car accident in the middle of the turnpike,” she wrote. “They allowed them to stay in their truck and even carried them to help them!”

Although Gabriella’s car was totaled, she says she’ll never forget the kindness shown that day.
