Kids Sing Grizzly Bear Song To Real Grizzly Bears — And They Respond!
June 18, 2025
A group of young Indigenous drummers from the Squamish Nation, known as the Proud Little Warriors, is capturing hearts online after a powerful video of them singing to grizzly bears on Grouse Mountain went viral.
The 10- and 11-year-olds performed their traditional Grizzly Bear song near the bears’ habitat, safely behind a fence. To their amazement, the bears slowly approached, seemingly drawn in by their song.
"I felt so blessed when they came really close," one of the young drummers told CBC. Another added, "It's all about singing and honoring the animals that we're singing for."
