Airport Worker Uses Pressure Washer To Leave Heartfelt Message For Departing Passengers
May 15, 2025
Passengers aboard a plane preparing for takeoff at Kagoshima International Airport in Japan were treated to an unexpected and touching gesture—courtesy of a creative airport staff member and a pressure washer.
Just before departure, a passenger looked out their window and noticed an airport worker was using the washer not just to clean, but to draw.
He quickly sketched a smiling figure and wrote a message on the pavement that read, “Thank you and have a safe trip.”
A video of the act was posted to Instagram, where it quickly gained attention and praise. In the comments, one viewer identified the drawing as Saigō Takamori, a historic and beloved figure from Kagoshima.
