This 11-Year-Old Can Perfectly Imitate Over 50 Bird Calls
April 11, 2025
Eleven-year-old Samuel Henderson has a unique gift—he can perfectly mimic the sounds of over 50 different birds. But until recently, most of his classmates had no idea.
That changed at the 2024 Nicoma Park Intermediate School talent show, where Samuel bravely took the stage and shared his incredible talent for the first time.
His mom, Lori Henderson, admitted she was nervous for him.
"Because some kids can be mean," Lori said. "…It would just break my heart if that were to have happened."
But as he began calling out barn swallows, blue jays and tufted titmouses with pitch-perfect accuracy, the room went silent—then exploded with cheers.
Samuel wasn’t just accepted. He was celebrated. And now, he’s the talk of the school—for all the right reasons.
