Penguin Paints A Picture And Is Extremely Pleased With Herself

February 26, 2025

My guidance counselor never mentioned this job option.

At Moody Gardens in Galveston, Texas, one particularly artistic penguin is making waves—on canvas! In this adorable video, a creative little penguin takes part in a special painting session, using her feet to create a masterpiece.

But the best part? She looks absolutely thrilled with her work!

Whether it’s the fun of painting or the attention she’s getting, this little artist seems to know she’s done something special. The little tail wag while observing her masterpiece is too cute!

Did you know our penguins can paint? That’s right! Our talented penguins create unique artwork as part of their enrichment activities, and you can find these one-of-a-kind pieces in the Aquarium Pyramid Gift Shop! 🖼️ All proceeds go directly to supporting animal conservation projects, making each painting a special gift that gives back. 💙
