Woman Declared 'Clinically Dead' For 45 Minutes Wakes Up To Triplets
November 26, 2024
A 30-year-old Texas woman, Marisa Christie, defied the odds after flatlining multiple times during a 45-minute ordeal that left medical professionals astounded. Marisa was declared "clinically dead" while giving birth to her triplets due to a rare and often fatal complication known as amniotic fluid embolism (AFE).
This life-threatening condition has an 80-85% fatality rate, according to her doctor, Dr. Mora. Miraculously, Marisa survived but awoke with no memory of giving birth. Despite the harrowing experience, she made an incredible recovery, even relearning how to walk.
Now, Marisa and her three healthy babies are home, stable, and thriving.
