Stranger Steps In After Shocking £400 Quote For Elderly Woman's Garden Cleanup

August 8, 2024

In a heartwarming act of kindness, a 98-year-old woman from Manchester found herself the recipient of a generous gesture that has touched the hearts of many.

Struggling with the upkeep of her small front garden, she was initially quoted a staggering £400 for the service—a price far beyond her means. Faced with the difficult decision, she had no choice but to decline.

Upon hearing her story, TikTok user "Garden Yardz Mowing" offered to tidy up her garden for free.

"£400 wow!! I would have done it for a cup of coffee and a chat once a week just to know that person isn’t lonely," one commenter wrote.

"There's still some good people out there," another user commented.
