Polar Bear's Olympic-Style Dive Goes Viral

At the Alaska Zoo, one polar bear has captured the hearts of many with her impressive diving skills. Kova, the playful polar bear, recently made waves on social media when a video of her diving into her pool went viral, especially in light of the ongoing Olympics.

The video, taken by a zoo guest, shows Kova appearing to make sure everyone is watching before she gracefully dives into the water. Her technique and form have drawn comparisons to professional divers, adding a delightful twist to the usual zoo visit.

“Just the way she lined her feet up together and the way she kind of kept her body still and kind of kept — I guess you could call it a diving form when she went into the water — I think a lot of people really enjoyed the video and it resonated with them with the Olympics coming up,” said Katie Larson, the zoo's grants director, in an interview with KTUU-TV.
