GeoGuessr Expert Helps Stranger Find His Mother's Location From An Old Photo

Trevor Rainbolt, a popular GeoGuessr player, recently helped a stranger locate the exact spot where a photo of his mother was taken decades ago.

GeoGuessr is a browser-based geography game that challenges players to guess locations from Google Street View imagery.

The user submitted the photo and shared "This is the only photo I have of my mother... I was adopted back in 1995 and only have this photo before my mother passed away."

Using just the old photo, Rainbolt meticulously analyzed the details and was able to pinpoint the location. The spot, believed to be Ritsa Lake in Abkhazia, was identified with remarkable accuracy.
