A Couple's Wedding Shoot Gets Interrupted By A Generous Stranger
June 20, 2024
Nichole Babiez, a wedding photographer based in Chicago, recently experienced an unexpected and heartwarming interruption during a bridal photo shoot that she will never forget.
While en route from Walden Chicago to the Art Institute with Brittany and Alex Hall, Nichole was busy capturing the couple's bridal photos when Brittany's attention was caught by a building with stunning gold revolving doors. Embracing the spontaneous moment, Brittany darted through the doors with her new husband, Alex, close behind.
As Nichole photographed the joyful couple, a stranger entering the building suddenly turned back and approached them.
"He asked if we were interested in using the rooftop for a half hour for photos," Nichole told PEOPLE. "We were truly shocked by the generosity because after photographing weddings downtown for almost eight years, that has never happened."
The kind stranger, Asharafal, escorted the group to the rooftop, offering them an unparalleled view of the cityscape as their backdrop. Brittany and Alex, who are from Wisconsin, were beyond excited to seize this unexpected opportunity. They spent about 15-20 minutes capturing breathtaking photos with the iconic Chicago skyline and Navy Pier in the background.
@nichole_marie03 There are good people in this world, even in chicago. Being a wedding and elopement photographer we dont always see kindness like this in downtown areas. Today, a nice young man saw us taking photos using the revolving doors to his apartment building and offered us his rooftop to use for photos. It was an absolutely STUNNING and such an amazing experience. Bridal portrait dreams were made ladies and gents!
