'I Just Got Hit By A Whale': Whale TACKLES Australian Surfer

February 23, 2024

The odds of getting hit by a whale while surfing are undoubtedly astronomically low. But never zero.

In the world of water sports, thrill-seekers often face various challenges and unexpected twists. However, an Australian wingsurfer never saw this coming.

Jason Breen was cruising along when he was suddenly knocked off his surfboard by a breaching humpback whale.

"I saw the head coming up. Then I saw the rest of the body coming up, and then I saw the whole thing above me, and about that stage, I've got to be honest, I thought I was in trouble," he recalled.

Fortunately, Breen escaped unharmed. Upon regaining his position on the board, he exclaimed to his recording camera, "I just got hit by a whale," capturing the entirety of the incident on film.
