Hero Crossing Guard Takes Hit To Save Child From Speeding Car

A crossing guard is being hailed as a hero for saving a child from a speeding vehicle.

Cpl. Annette Goodyear of the North East Police Department in Maryland reacted quickly to throw the child out of harm's way. By doing so, she was hit by the vehicle instead.

Police said Goodyear was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries and was released.
