'Welcome, Prickly Little One!' Stone Zoo In Massachusetts Welcomes Baby Porcupine

The newest addition to the Stone Zoo in Massachusetts is a prehensile-tailed baby porcupette.

The baby porcupine was born on Saturday to mom Prickles and dad Shadow.

"While this little guy appears to be cuddly, there are still quills under all that floof. Their soft spikes harden up soon after birth. After the baby’s initial check-up, our veterinarian Brianne finds both mom and baby are doing well. Welcome, prickly little one!" the zoo said.
