One of my favorite pictures I’ve ever taken
"Apollo the Alaskan malamute & Iris, his rescue sister, are the best adventure buddies - rain or shine. We got lucky this day with 'bad' weather all around us but not directly over us! (& got the whole place to ourselves!) This is a great dog-friendly reservoir we love to splash around in, and we headed back down the mountain once we heard thunder approaching, but caught that gorgeous rainbow on the way out! 🌈 In Greek mythology, Iris is the goddess of the rainbow, and the spanish word for rainbow is ‘arcoiris,’ so this photo is really special to me for that, as well. It’s her namesake!
I adopted Iris to raise alongside Apollo, and they are truly the best of friends."
