Officers Barry Ward and Terrence Paramore of the Boynton Beach Police Department went to a local apartment in response to a 911 hangup. Upon arrival, a young girl told the officers she was sad because they weren't going to have a Christmas tree this year.

Understanding that the family was struggling, the officers left only to return with a Christmas tree, lights and ornaments.
