A Beautiful Love Story: Married Couple of 62 Years Pass Away Together Holding Hands
August 3, 2014
It's a love story that lasted a lifetime, and beyond. Don and Maxine Simpson were married for 62 years and died within just four hours of each other.

The couple met at a bowling alley and were inseparable ever since. They raised two boys, traveled the world, and became well-respected members of their community in Bakersfield, California.
Two weeks ago Don Simpson was taken to the hospital for a broken hip, but his health quickly started to deteriorate. His family brought him home to be with his wife, who had been battling cancer for several years.
The couple spent their final hours as they always had, together, holding hands and smiling.
