Alysia, who lives with cerebral palsy, recently shared her goal of attending her special needs prom on March 28 in Milledgeville, Georgia.

Because of the extra challenges that come with her disability, she created a GoFundMe to help cover the additional costs that would make the night possible.

“Alysia here, and I'm getting ready for prom!” she wrote on the fundraising page. “With cerebral palsy, things can be a bit more challenging, but I won't let that stop me from having an unforgettable night. I'm raising funds to make my special needs prom dreams come true, and I'd love your support.”

The fundraiser was meant to help cover expenses like adaptive accessories, transportation, and other accommodations she needs to fully enjoy the evening. She shared in a TikTok video that this will be her first time attending an event like this.

After posting the video online, something amazing happened.

The story quickly spread across TikTok, and people from all over began stepping in to help make Alysia’s dream come true. Donations poured in, raising more than $52,000 to support her prom plans.

One of the people who saw the video was TikTok personality Kev Eudy, who has more than 10 million followers. He commented with an offer to cover the entire cost of the evening if needed, writing, “Please let me know how much it is and I’ll cover it. You deserve the best evening.”

Others joined in with their own acts of kindness. Some offered to do Alysia’s hair and makeup for free, while others offered to donate dresses so she could look and feel her best on prom night.

And then came one more incredible surprise.

Along with the outpouring of support from strangers around the world, Alysia received word from the organization hosting the event that she will also be crowned prom queen.

What started as a simple request for help turned into a powerful reminder of how compassionate people can be when they come together.

Thanks to thousands of supporters, Alysia’s first prom isn’t just happening—it’s shaping up to be a night she’ll never forget.
