Growing up, Garcia watched his father take on whatever work he could to provide—picking fruits and vegetables, working long hours, and sacrificing his own comfort so his son could chase an education that once felt out of reach.

“He’s always worked hard for us,” Garcia said. “A lot of what I’ve been able to do came from his sacrifices.”

Those sacrifices became even more apparent a few months ago when his father suffered a stroke that affected his mobility and the left side of his body. Garcia helped him through recovery, and the experience deepened his desire to do something special for him.

The idea of buying tickets wasn’t an easy decision. Garcia admitted he checked prices for days, weighing the cost against how meaningful the experience could be. In the end, the chance to see his father smile made it worth it.

When Garcia finally revealed the surprise, his father’s reaction said it all—pure joy, gratitude, and disbelief in one powerful moment.

Together, Garcia and his family headed to downtown Seattle to soak in the excitement surrounding the championship game, creating memories that will last far longer than the final score.

For Garcia, the gesture was about more than football. It was about honoring a father who gave everything so his son could dream bigger—and finally giving a little of that love back.
