Secret Santa Surprises Idaho Couple Who Adopted Four Siblings After Having Five of Their Own
November 13, 2025
Today's good news story comes from St. Anthony, Idaho.
When Michelle and Von Poll learned that four siblings had lost their mother and were about to be split up, they couldn’t bear the thought of the children being separated.
Already parents to five biological kids, the Poll family decided to open their home — and their hearts — to all four.

Life for their now family of eleven has been full of love, laughter, and beautiful chaos. But recently, the Polls faced a major setback. While giving another family a ride to Primary Children’s Hospital for their child’s medical appointment, the engine in their commuter car blew. That left them with just their 15-passenger van, forcing Von to borrow a friend’s truck just to get to work.
That’s when a local Secret Santa stepped in to make Christmas a little brighter. The anonymous donor, who’s giving away $1 million in gifts to deserving people across eastern Idaho this holiday season, surprised the Polls with an incredible act of generosity — a brand new car, spending cash, and loads of groceries.
"Michelle is known around St. Anthony for her kindness and selflessness. Despite the challenges of raising nine children, she constantly looks for ways to serve others. Friends say she’s the first to show up when someone needs help and rarely asks for anything in return."
The family was overwhelmed with gratitude.
