Florida Church Wipes Out $6.5 Million In Medical Debt For Thousands Of Residents
November 4, 2025
A Florida church just gave thousands of families in its community the gift of a fresh start.

Lead Pastor Brad Livingston / Transformation Church
Transformation Church in Pensacola partnered with the nonprofit Undue Medical Debt to erase a staggering $6.5 million in medical debt for local residents. The church raised $40,000 in donations, which Undue Medical Debt used to purchase and pay off medical debt portfolios — wiping out balances for an estimated 4,400 people in Escambia County.
The surprise announcement was made during a Sunday morning service on November 2, when Lead Pastor Brad Livingston shared the incredible news with his congregation.
“We already wrote the check to Undue Medical Debt; that’s the next step,” Livingston said. “They receive it, they mail out the letters, and 4,400 people in our city are going to get a letter that says, ‘Because of the generosity of these amazing people at Transformation Church, we’re happy to tell you that your debt has been erased.’”
The individuals whose medical debt was erased are not members or regular attendees of the church — just local residents who happened to be carrying medical debt purchased by the nonprofit.
Because of privacy laws, the church won’t know the names of the individuals whose debt was paid — but Livingston said that’s not what matters.
“We just know they’re in Escambia County, and we love our city, so we’re doing this thing for generosity,” he explained.
Residents whose medical debt has been cleared will receive letters in the mail later this month with the life-changing news.
