While shopping with only a few dollars left, Angellee was approached by TikTok creator Jimmy Darts, who is known for his “kindness tests.”

He asked her for a dollar—and without hesitation, she gave what little she had.

That one small act of generosity revealed her own incredible story. Angellee is not only raising three children on her own, but she is also courageously fighting stage four cancer. Her treatments cost $1,000 a week, and with insurance no longer covering the expenses, she is preparing for hospice care.

Jimmy shared on GoFundMe:

“Today I was at Walmart looking for someone to help me, and that’s when I met Angellee, who is a kindergarten teacher battling stage 4 cancer. Angellee is a single mom of 3 kids. I was shocked that she gave what money she had on her to help me. Despite her struggles and what she was going through, she was kind enough to take the time to help me when I asked her.”

Inspired by her kindness, Jimmy launched a fundraiser to support Angellee and her family. In just 24 hours, the response was overwhelming—more than $116,000 was raised to help with her care and provide for her children.

What began as a simple dollar turned into a powerful reminder of the ripple effect of kindness.

Update 8/22/25: The video and GoFundMe page have been taken down. At this time, there have been no updates from Jimmy, and no further information is available online regarding the reason for their removal.
