A Disabled Man’s Livelihood Was Stolen, Then A Stranger Came To His Rescue
July 26, 2025
A Central Florida landscaper is back on his feet thanks to a stranger’s incredible act of kindness — all sparked by a local news story and a mother’s heartfelt plea.
Earlier this month, 32-year-old Kyle Lukowski, a disabled landscaper from Central Florida, had his trailer stolen from his home — taking with it the essential equipment he depends on to run his business.

His mother, Jennifer Sexton, shared the story on social media, hoping someone might be able to help.
“Kyle is disabled and has worked very hard to get what he has,” she wrote. “He's also for the last 7 years, donated all of his time to a food charity bank in Orlando area. If anybody can do anything to help him trying to get his lawn equipment back...this is all the income he has to pay our bills and now he can do nothing.”
Her post was picked up by FOX 35 News in Orlando, where it caught the eye of Sean Beck, a business owner from Melbourne. Beck, who runs ATH Trailer Sales and 321 Metalworx, said he couldn’t stop thinking about Kyle’s story.
“I watched it probably eight or ten times,” Beck said. “I just kept thinking, I need to do something.”
And he did.
Just days later, Beck surprised Kyle with a brand-new custom-built trailer — complete with a lock — to replace the one that was stolen.

“We’re just glad to be here and be a part of getting you back on your feet,” Beck told Kyle during the emotional handoff.
Kyle’s mom was overwhelmed with gratitude.
“You're an angel in my son’s life,” she said through tears. “He needed someone to help him. Thank you so much.”
The community stepped up in another big way too — over $6,500 has been raised for Kyle through a GoFundMe campaign.
