Serkin, whose name is quickly becoming synonymous with incredible good fortune in the Lethbridge area, recently secured another $1 million prize in the May 3 LOTTO 6/49 Classic draw.

This latest windfall brings Serkin's total lottery winnings to an astonishing $2.5 million in less than nine months, not including an even earlier win. His recent wins include $500,000 from the August 20 LOTTO MAX draw and an additional $1 million from the November 16 LOTTO 6/49 draw.

And as if that weren't enough, NOW Toronto reported that Serkin’s luck even extends back over a decade. He previously won $250,000 in another draw more than 10 years prior to his recent three-peat!

Serkin himself acknowledges the extraordinary nature of his luck. "I know the odds are astronomical," he shared with a laugh. "I don’t think it’ll happen again, but I still like buying tickets."

His most recent $1 million prize came from the LOTTO 6/49 Gold Ball draw, specifically with the selection 24645097-05, a white ball. For context, the odds of winning the LOTTO MAX jackpot or a MAXMILLIONS prize are 1 in 33,294,800.

A long-time lottery player, Serkin has been participating since LOTTO 6/49 first launched in 1982. He enjoys the simple pleasure of playing. "You check your ticket and if you win, you’re happy. If you don’t, you can always try again," he reflected. "I’m a cancer survivor and I’m retired, so I am just grateful for all of it."

His most recent winning ticket was a spontaneous purchase.

"I bought this ticket while I was buying gas," he explained. "I saw the Gold Ball draw was getting close [to the final ball selection] and thought, ‘What do I have to lose?’”

Serkin’s remarkable luck has left his wife and friends astounded. "I went for coffee with the boys after I checked my ticket," he recounted. "They asked to see it and said, ‘Not again?!’” While his wife is still processing the unbelievable turn of events, Serkin happily notes they are enjoying the journey together.

"I took my wife to Hawaii with the last win, and we had a great time," he smiled. "Now, we’re going to Newfoundland!"
