A Minneapolis police officer is being celebrated for going above and beyond the call of duty to help a community member in need.

While on patrol, the officer noticed an elderly resident struggling to shovel snow from her steps and sidewalk. Concerned for her safety, he immediately stepped in. Without hesitation, he grabbed a shovel and cleared the entire walkway, ensuring the path was safe and accessible.
The grateful resident was deeply moved by the unexpected kindness.

"This act of kindness is just one example of the dedication our officers have in serving their communities. Great job, Officer!" the department wrote.
