Ranmal Punja Odera, who runs Smokers Paradise newsagents, recently won a prize through Allwyn’s quarterly draw—an initiative that rewards National Lottery retailers for their efforts in boosting ticket sales.
Rather than keeping the money for herself, Odera is using it to bring joy to her elderly customers by treating them to a special afternoon tea. This generous gesture is just one of many, as she regularly takes her customers out for brunch and dinner.
Odera’s dedication to her community stems from years of service in the NHS, and her passion for giving back continues through her shop’s contributions to National Lottery Good Causes.
"My husband and I are big charity people," she shared with GB News. "I often take our elderly customers out for brunch and dinner, so I will use the money to treat them to a nice afternoon tea and also give a little to a charity."
