Bills Mafia Raises Over $125,000 For Mark Andrews' Charity After Playoff Drama
January 24, 2025
In a remarkable display of sportsmanship and generosity, Bills fans, affectionately known as Bills Mafia, have raised over $125,000 for a charity close to Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews' heart. The outpouring of support came after a dramatic moment in the Ravens vs. Bills playoff game last weekend.

During the pivotal fourth quarter, Andrews had a chance to tie the game with a two-point conversion. However, the pass was bobbled and dropped, leaving the Ravens trailing by two points. The Bills held onto their lead, securing the victory and advancing in the playoffs. While the win thrilled Buffalo fans, the aftermath brought a wave of negativity toward Andrews. Ravens fans expressed their frustration online, with some even calling for his contract to be canceled.
Understanding the emotional toll this must have taken on Andrews, Bills fans decided to turn the narrative around. A fan page launched a GoFundMe campaign shortly after the game, encouraging donations to a Type 1 juvenile diabetes charity that Andrews supports.
The fan page wrote, "As many of you know, Ravens TE [Mark Andrews] wasn't able to catch the game-tying two-point conversion and upset Ravens fans. On top of that, the TE has been receiving death threats and nasty comments after his performance last night. We want Bills Mafia to donate to Mark's charity for juvenile diabetes. Let's reach a goal of at least $5k."
The initial $5,000 goal was shattered within hours as fans rallied around the cause. By Friday morning, the campaign had raised more than $125,000, showcasing the power of kindness even in the midst of intense competition.
The Baltimore Ravens publicly acknowledged the charitable effort. In a post to X (formerly Twitter), the team stated, "Shout out to Bills Mafia for showing support to our guy Mark Andrews and donating to the @BreakthroughT1D organization, which works towards curing and improving the lives of those dealing with Type 1 diabetes."
Breakthrough T1D, the charity benefiting from the donations, is dedicated to advancing research and providing support for individuals living with Type 1 diabetes. Mark Andrews, who was diagnosed with the condition at a young age, has been a vocal advocate for the cause throughout his career.
