'He Changed My Life': Post Malone Surprises Single Mom With $20,000 Tip
January 7, 2025
Today's good news story comes from Houston, Texas.
In a heartwarming act of kindness, Grammy-nominated artist Post Malone turned Christmas into a miracle for a hardworking single mom in Houston.
Renee Brown, 36, was working a late-night shift as a bartender at The Railyard, a small neighborhood bar, on Christmas Eve into Christmas morning when the unexpected happened.

Brown, who had been feeling down about spending the holiday away from her nine-year-old daughter, found her spirits lifted when Post Malone walked into the bar with singer Shaboozey and friends. The group enjoyed drinks, music, and the laid-back atmosphere, jamming to the jukebox on the patio until closing time.
As the night wound down, Post Malone requested his bill, only to discover that his friends and some regular patrons had already covered his tab. Determined to leave his mark of appreciation, he insisted Brown ring him up for something—anything—so he could leave a tip.
What happened next left Brown in tears: Post Malone tipped her $20,000.
“I immediately broke down crying,” Brown shared with Music Mayhem. A single mom working two jobs, she explained that rising costs and life’s challenges had left her struggling to make ends meet. The generous gesture offered her a sense of stability and relief she hadn’t experienced in years.
“Going into work Christmas Eve, I was so sad I had to leave my baby girl to go to work,” Brown said. “Oblivious that God would send me a Christmas miracle. This is hands down the most humble, personable celebrity I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. He changed my life on Christmas Eve, and I will forever be grateful. Thank you so much, Austin.”
