Today's good news story comes from North Cascades, Washington.
39-year-old Robert Schock has been found alive after being missing for nearly a month in the rugged terrain of North Cascades National Park.

North Cascades National Park, USA
Schock was reported missing on July 31st while hiking the Chilliwack River Trail with his dog.
Five days later, park rangers found Schock's dog, sparking concern for his whereabouts. Despite extensive efforts by the Whatcom County Sheriff's Office (WCSO) and park rangers—including ground and helicopter searches—the trail seemed to go cold.
Multiple search teams scoured the area over the following weeks but they all came up empty-handed.
As hope began to fade, Schock's fate seemed uncertain — until last Friday, when his voice broke through the wilderness, alerting a trail crew to his presence.
Though weak and malnourished, Schock was found "alive and well" in the Chilliwack Basin. He was transported to United General Hospital in Sedro-Woolley, where he is now recovering.
