Jonquetta Winbush, 39, suffered a seizure while driving, causing the vehicle to plunge into a nearby body of water with her children, Dwight and Bri-Asia, 16, inside.
As the car quickly began to submerge, Dwight and his sister managed to escape, but their mother remained trapped inside.
Dwight flagged down West Orange police officer Charles Cobb, who happened to be nearby. The police bodycam footage captured Dwight's desperate plea: "Help her! Hurry!"
Officer Cobb, along with several good Samaritans who stopped to help, rushed to the scene. They managed to pull Jonquetta from the sinking vehicle, finding her unconscious and not breathing. Thanks to their swift actions and CPR efforts, Jonquetta was revived.
After spending three weeks on a ventilator, Jonquetta is now breathing on her own, a miraculous recovery that her sister shared with ABC News.
