According to Aurora Fire Rescue, the bus was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived. Thanks to the bus driver's swift actions, all 14 children were safely evacuated without injury.
As the bus driver was making a turn, he noticed smoke emerging through the dashboard. Without hesitation, he pulled the bus over and immediately assisted the children in evacuating. His calm and decisive actions ensured that everyone was safely off the bus before the fire could spread further.
Aurora Fire Rescue quickly extinguished the blaze, and their investigation revealed that the fire started in the engine compartment and was accidental.
