Ivy, a 14-year-old Great Pyrenees, had become entangled in the mud of a Manitoba river after wandering too far from her owner’s property.
Hudson, on his canoeing adventure, stumbled upon Ivy in distress. Without hesitation, he lifted a heavy log off her back and navigated through knee-deep mud to reach her. With great care, he managed to position the exhausted pup on his canoe and transported her to safety.
Once ashore, Hudson reunited Ivy with her grateful owner. According to Hudson, the dog was trapped for days.
