A dog's loyalty is an unbreakable bond, a steadfast devotion that knows no limits, even in the face of danger.
Earlier this month, a family's dog sprang into action to save one of his owners during a violent incident in New Hampshire.

86-year-old Ned Tarmey is recovering in the hospital after being attacked by a "fully naked" neighbor outside his Manchester home.
Family members credit the family dog for saving his life.
Brittney Ardizzoni, Ned's great-niece, said the man was throwing patio furniture, chairs, bricks, and rocks.
"When he opened up the door, he got hit by a brick," Jeff Tarmey, the victim's nephew said.
The family dog, Kane, described by family members as "sweet and affectionate," quickly went into protective mode, tackling the intruder and holding him down until authorities arrived.
The assault appears to have been random, as Ned and the attacker had never met before the incident.
Ned is continuing his recovery in the hospital after being discharged from the ICU. He was reunited with Kane in his hospital bed, telling his loyal companion, "You saved my life!"
