Runty The Hairy Pig Gets Rescued From A Muddy Predicament

A 16-year-old Kunekune pig named Runty found himself in a sticky situation when he became trapped in the mud at his farm near Fair Oak.

Fortunately, a specialist animal rescue crew from Winchester was quick to respond.

Arriving at the scene around 1 p.m., the skilled team used strops to carefully lift Runty out of the mud.

Thanks to their swift action, Runty was soon back on his feet and happily reunited with his brother, Chops!

Before heading back to the station, the crew took a moment to snap a quick photo with their grateful, mud-covered rescuee.
