John Johnson, 60, had booked an Uber for a ride to Dallas' UT Southwestern Medical Center. When his driver, Danny Blanton, 51, picked him up, what started as small talk quickly turned into a moment of joy.

"What's your name again?" he asked. Blanton replied, "My name is Danny."
