Arctic Fox Escapes Zoo But Gets Tired Along The Way

Police officers in Germany rescued a "fugitive" arctic fox that was found sleeping in the middle of the road.

The tired fox chose Teichstrasse in Weißkeißel for his nap on Thursday afternoon. He had previously escaped from the zoo in Weißwasser.
Exhausted from his excursion, the fox lay down on the street and fell asleep.

Witnesses spotted him and called the Saxony Police. The fox was safely escorted back to its enclosure at the zoo.
The police officers on the scene snapped a few photos of the sleeping fox and posted the pictures to the department's website.
