Jason Boudreaux shared a story on his Facebook page describing the moment a St. Martinville grocery store cashier told him he had insufficient funds.
"I deposited my payroll check and hour prior thought the money would have hit," Jason said.
All of a sudden, Jason heard a voice speak up from behind saying "I got you."
"This lil gentleman said 'I got you'. I said 'no you don't you probably didn't hear the price'. He responded 'yes Sir, I did, and I got you'," Jason recalled.
Jason snapped a quick selfie with the good Samaritan before they parted ways. With help from social media, the man was identified as Kevin Jones from New Iberia.
"Just found out it is Mr. Jones Birthday today, Facebook help me wish him the best of birthdays to someone as of two days ago was a complete stranger," Jason shared in an update. "Now he's coming to my mother's for Family Day/ now Kevin Jones Birthday celebration."
Jason said Kevin and his family visited for "a few hours".
