Makay built a lemonade stand over the summer that "turned out pretty successful". As he was thinking of all the things he could do or buy, he very quickly decided he wanted to donate it to his Kindergarten class.

"He wanted to do something really fun with his classmates," Makay's mother, Tristen Dalene, said.

Makay decided to use his lemonade stand money to buy all of the Kindergartners at his school a pumpkin for Halloween.

His family coordinated with his teacher and principal, who arranged a field trip to Pride of the Wapsi, a popular eastern Iowa pumpkin patch and corn maze destination.

The owners loved Makay's idea so much that they let him pick enough pumpkins for the 1st Graders at his school, too.

Pride of the Wapsi owner, "Farmer Pat", decided to pay it forward with another act of kindness.

He is donating all of the money Makay used to buy pumpkins to the Red Cross for Hurricane Ian relief.

"This boy has the biggest heart and is always thinking of others," Tristen said about her son in a Facebook post.

"A special thanks to his amazing teacher Mrs. Hodge and Principal Tim Green for allowing this to happen and to Pride of The Wapsi for being so generous. It has been an amazing experience for him."
